We're getting together for a weekend full of prayer and friendship, speakers and fun.
Friday night is at the Landry's house with a couple of talks, wine and cheese.
Saturday is a full day, (8 a.m. - 6 p.m.) of talks and lots of time for socializing.
We strive to make this a family-centred conference. All children are welcome!
Due to liability and practicality, we do not provide child care.
However, the gym will be open with some kid friendly equipment,
and an activity room with colouring and some quieter play will be available.
There is also an outdoor playground attached to the community centre, and a large field across the parking lot.
We suggest that parents bring along a grandparent, friend or child minder for their own children.
We have rented the entire Shawnigan Lake Community Centre, and the space is set up well for families.
PLEASE NOTE! If bringing someone along as a childminder, please let us know,
but families are not required to pay a registration fee for their helper.
We are looking for local families to host those from
farther away; please click here if you are interested.
Family-Oriented
You are encouraged to bring your children; we see the bringing together of families as the primary purpose of the conference. While there is no children's program, the hall has a gym, quiet activity room, small fenced playground and a large field adjacent.
Catholic
This is a conference run by Catholics, for Catholic families. We strive to live full and authentic Catholic lives.
We aim to build up the body of Christ family to family and face to face.
Fun
The schedule will allow for plenty of
free time and socializing.
Our goal is a weekend filled with joy.
Wherever the Catholic sun doth shine,

Where
Friday evening will be held at the Landry's home in Cobble Hill.
Their address will be sent to attendees before the conference.
Who
Homeschool families and those considering homeschooling and any young adults who were homeschooled
or are interested in home education
for their future.
Meals
Friday evening will include a wine and cheese reception.
On Saturday a light breakfast will be available and snacks throughout the day.

You are also welcome to bring a packed lunch.
There are a few eateries in ShawniganVillage.
A light breakfast including baked goods, cheese and fruit will be available along with tea and good strong coffee.
